  1. Am I a Class Member?

    1. If you received a Notice, Defendant’s records indicate you may be a class member defined as: “consumers in the United States who (1) were subject to a consumer report provided to named released Parties in connection with and application for employment in a call center operated by Willis Towers Watson, U.S., LLC, one if its lines of business, subsidiaries, or affiliates, (2) for whom, I was denied employment based on whole or in part, on the information contained in those consumer reports, (3) to whom the Released Parties did not provide the consumer with a copy of the report and written summary of FCRA rights at least five business days before taking such adverse action, and (4) for the two years preceding the date of the filing of this action.”

  2. What Will the Settlement Mean for Me?

    1. If the Court approves the settlement, you will receive a payment by check for up to $400 if you timely return a valid claim form. 

  3. What Do I Need to Do to Receive a Payment?

    1. To receive a settlement payment, you need to return the your postcard claim form by July 18, 2023. The form should be returned to TRANZACT FCRA Settlement., c/o Settlement Administrator, PO Box 23680, Jacksonville, FL 32241-3680 (by US Mail) or filed online on the Online Claim Submission page..

  4. Who Represents Me?

    1. The Court appointed lawyer Marc Edelman from Morgan & Morgan, P.A. to represent the Settlement Class. As Class Counsel, they will seek to be paid legal fees out of the Settlement Fund as described above. You may hire and pay for a lawyer at your own expense if you do not wish to be represented by Class Counsel.

  5. What If I Don't Like the Settlement?

    1. You may exclude yourself from participating in the Settlement or object to its terms. To exclude yourself (“opt out”) and keep any rights you may have against Defendant concerning the claims at issue in this lawsuit, you must specifically state in writing that you want to opt out of the Settlement, sign and date it, and send your written notice to the Settlement Administrator by July 18, 2023. If you do not opt out of the Settlement, you may object to the terms of the proposed Settlement by filing a written objection with the Court by June 18, 2023. Objections may not be made through the settlement website and must be mailed in accord with the procedure set forth in the Settlement Agreement.

  6. When Will the Court Consider the Proposed Settlement?

    1. The Court will hold the Final Approval Hearing on August 8, 2023, at the Hillsborough County Courthouse, 800 East Twiggs Street, Tampa, FL 336502, at 2:30 PM.
